Who are the promoters

of this competition?

China Lab is both a Laboratory and International Research Network, which conducts research inspired by China’s rapidly progressing urbanization including also the architecture production and urban space.

China Lab is committed to find strategies to meet the growing challenges of urban, environmental and socioeconomic developments in China with obvious impacts on the global level.

China Lab is build across a multidisciplinary approach, which a full range of urban disciplines, practices and professions of the Participants Universities providing a trans-scalar design vision that represent crucial properties of architecture, settlements and territories.

China Lab and its Research Network is already part of an ongoing project series related to Chinese architecture and urban space, and different subjects encompassing that topic and related questions and inquiries. The long-term goal of the network is to produce a dialogue about the future of design in emerging markets and a framework for studying this new frontier.

At the School of Architecture and Design of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus León, under the slogan of the "City as a Workshop", we are responding to the contemporary challenges of design and architecture, expanding the range of interdisciplinary education received by our creatives, so to influence the society and its context, starting from the first semesters.
The ARQ career (Architecture) forms leading professionals in the area of ​​architectural design and sustainable building, becoming promoters of real estate opportunities with urban-social and environmental awareness, within an technological and academic advanced framework.
The LDIt career (Industrial Design Trajectories) forms designers of products, services and strategies that, as consultants or entrepreneurs, solve challenges of institutions, companies and society.

Our areas of excellence: design of systems of products and services, innovation of the fashion industries and social innovation.
